SPF animal facility

To address the most innovative research need, assuring the QUALITY of the science in the respect of the animal WELFARE, SPR has created facilities for breeding and housing genetically engineered animal models. These animals are hosted in a SPF animal facility with a barrier area for the maintenance and the breeding of pathogen-free mutant and immunodeficient rodents. High competent animal care personnel provide breeding and research service that serves all internal and external researchers and scientific institutions.
